General
What is QuoteMe?
QuoteMe is a mobile app designed for contractors and service providers that streamlines the entire quoting process. You can create professional quotes, send them to customers for digital signing, schedule jobs, generate invoices, and track your business, all from your phone.
Who is QuoteMe for?
QuoteMe is built for independent contractors and small service businesses that send quotes before starting work. This includes home service providers (junk removal, pressure washing, lawn care, painting, handyman), skilled trades (electricians, plumbers, carpenters), and event and creative professionals (photographers, caterers, event planners). If you quote a job, get it approved, and then show up to do the work — QuoteMe is built for you.
What platforms is QuoteMe available on?
QuoteMe is available on both iOS and Android. Your customers don't need to download anything; they review and sign quotes through a web link on any device.
Do I need internet access to use QuoteMe?
Yes. QuoteMe requires an internet connection to send quotes, sync data, and use all features.
Quotes
How do I create a quote?
Tap the "+" button, choose a template or create a custom quote. Add your customer's details, customize line items and pricing, set payment terms and methods, attach site photos if needed, then generate your quote. The whole process takes just a few minutes.
What is a custom (AI) quote?
Custom quotes let you upload an existing quote, photo, or work description, and our AI automatically extracts the business information and line items for you. It's a fast way to get started if you already have a quote in another format, like a photo of a handwritten estimate or an email from a customer.
How do my customers sign quotes?
When you send a quote, your customer receives a link to a signing page. They can review all the details, including line items, pricing, and payment terms, and then sign by drawing or typing their signature. Every signature is recorded with a timestamp, IP address, and document hash for a complete audit trail.
Can I edit a quote after sending it?
Yes. You can edit a quote after sending it, which creates a new version. The customer will receive an updated link to review and sign the latest version. Previous versions are kept for your records.
What payment methods can I include on a quote?
You can list any combination of payment methods you accept: cash, check, credit card (with an optional surcharge percentage), and Venmo. Your customer sees these options on the quote so they know how to pay. If you connect a Square account, your invoices can also be paid online by card with a built-in "Pay online" button (see Online Payments below).
Business Page
I don't have a website. Do I need one?
For most contractors, no. A full website is expensive, slow to build, and needs upkeep — and customers usually just want a quick, trustworthy way to see what you do and request a quote. Your QuoteMe Business Page gives them exactly that, at your own web address, without the cost or hassle of a website.
What is the Business Page?
It's a personalized, shareable web page where your prospective customers can request a quote — they describe the job, add photos or video, and leave their contact info, and it lands directly in your QuoteMe app as a new lead. It also works as a lightweight one-page website with your company info, services, service areas, trust badges, and testimonials.
How do customers use my page?
You share your link wherever you reach customers — social bios, business cards, truck decals, Facebook Marketplace posts, or a text. Customers open it with no app or login, fill out a short form (name plus an email or phone, with an optional description, location, and photos or video), and submit. They see a confirmation message and get a confirmation email if they provided one.
How do leads from my page reach me?
Submissions arrive in the Quotes "New" tab with a purple "Lead" badge. You review the contact info, description, and any photos or video, then accept to flow it into a quote (a pre-filled standard template or an AI-assisted custom quote, with the customer's photos and description carried in), or delete to discard.
What can I customize on my page?
You can set your own web address, a headline or tagline, your services, "Why Choose Us" highlights, testimonials, service areas, trust badges (Licensed & Insured, Locally Owned, and years in business), and your page colors. Your logo and business address come from your company profile. It's a fixed, professionally designed template — sections only appear when you fill them in, so every page looks complete. You can also preview your page privately before sharing it.
Will my Business Page help me get found online?
Yes. Business Pages are built to be indexed by search engines, with local-focused titles, their own web address, structured business data that includes your service areas, and inclusion in a sitemap. For contractors without a website, that's an easy way to start showing up in local searches. Pages also include spam protection, and no payments ever happen on the page — it's strictly for capturing leads.
What do I need to set up a Business Page?
Just the QuoteMe app, which is free on both iOS and Android. You set up and manage your page and your leads from the app, and your customers can open and submit your page from any device with a web browser — no app required on their end.
Jobs & Invoicing
What happens after a quote is signed?
When a customer signs your quote, QuoteMe automatically creates a job. From there, you can schedule the job on your calendar, assign team members, track progress, and eventually generate an invoice, all linked back to the original quote.
How does job scheduling work?
The Jobs tab includes a full calendar with month, week, and day views. You can schedule jobs for specific dates and times, assign them to team members, and see everything at a glance. Scheduled jobs show the customer name, job value, time, and location.
How do invoices work?
When a job is complete, tap "Generate Invoice" to create an invoice from the job's line items. You can adjust amounts (for partial billing or change orders), add notes, and send the invoice to your customer. Invoices are tracked through Review, Unpaid, and Paid stages.
Online Payments
Can my customers pay invoices online?
Yes. Once you connect a Square account, every invoice you send includes a secure "Pay online" button. Your customer opens the invoice on the web or from the link in their email or text and pays by card through Square's checkout — no app or account required. It works the same across web, iOS, and Android.
How do I set up online payments?
A team owner goes to Settings → Payments and connects your existing Square account. The connection uses industry-standard OAuth, so QuoteMe never sees or stores your Square password or your customers' card data. Once connected, the "Pay online" button is added to your invoices automatically — there's nothing else to configure.
Does QuoteMe charge a fee for online payments?
No. QuoteMe adds zero fees on payments collected online — we take no cut of the transaction. Payments are processed through your own Square account, and Square's standard processing fees are billed to you by Square, exactly as they are today. QuoteMe's only platform fee is its standard 1% on signed quotes, which is unchanged and unrelated to online payments.
Where does the money go, and is it secure?
The money goes straight into your own Square account — QuoteMe is not a payment processor or a bank and never holds or transfers your funds. Card details are handled entirely by Square's PCI-compliant checkout, and QuoteMe stores no card numbers. You're simply adding a secure way for customers to pay the invoices you already send.
Do invoices get marked paid automatically?
Yes. QuoteMe links each payment back to the specific invoice, so when a customer pays, the invoice flips to Paid on its own and you see it update in real time. There's no manual reconciliation — no spreadsheets and no wondering whether a check cleared.
Can I pass the credit card fee on to my customer?
Yes, if you choose to. If you offer "Credit Card + X% fee" on a quote, QuoteMe can automatically add that surcharge as a clearly itemized line at checkout, shown as "Invoice amount" plus "Credit Card Payment Charge," so the breakdown stays transparent to your customer. Checkout is built for contractor invoices, so customers are never asked to add a tip.
Can I collect deposits or progress payments online?
Yes. Need an upfront materials payment? Send a partial invoice and collect a deposit online the same way as a full invoice. Progress payments work the same — each invoice gets its own "Pay online" button and marks itself paid when collected.
Who can connect or disconnect Square?
Connecting and disconnecting Square is limited to team owners, which keeps control of your payment connection in the right hands. Other team members can still send invoices that include the "Pay online" button once the connection is set up.
Pricing & Billing
How much does QuoteMe cost?
QuoteMe charges just 1% of signed quote values. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, and no per-quote charges. You only pay when a customer actually signs a quote. Creating quotes, managing jobs, sending invoices, and using all other features is completely free.
When am I charged?
You're only charged when a quote is signed by your customer. The 1% fee is calculated based on the total value of the signed quote. Drafts, unsent quotes, and unsigned quotes cost nothing.
What are Quote Credits?
Quote Credits are rewards you earn by using QuoteMe. They apply to your quote values, meaning more money stays in your pocket. For example, if you have $1,000 in credits and send a $5,000 quote, the 1% fee is calculated on $4,000 instead of $5,000. Credits never expire.
How do I earn Quote Credits?
You can earn Quote Credits by hitting milestones such as completing onboarding, adding a payment method, and getting your first signed quote. You can also earn referral credits for successful referrals (up to 5 per year).
Account & Team
Can I have multiple team members?
Yes. You can invite team members by email and assign roles (Admin or Member) with granular permissions. Control who can view or manage quotes, jobs, and invoices, and who can administer users. Team members can be assigned to jobs and see their own schedules.
How do I get help or contact support?
You can reach us anytime at support@quoteme.app. Within the app, go to Settings → Help for in-app support. We're a small team and we take customer service seriously, so you'll hear back from a real person.
